In the book the absolutely true diary of a part time Indian boy we meet our main character Arnold/junior talk about his family friends and life. He has a smart family that all made bad decisions. Growing up on a reservation he’s see many people that have just lost all HOPE that have no HOPE. In this messed up town junior has given up. In the beginning of the book he describes himself as a ugly weird looking dude. He just goes off about how weird he look and how him and his family have no HOPE and will never make it big because of their race were they are and their situation, what they need was HOPE.
Junior gets mad when he sees his mother’s
name on the book that was distributed to him this angered him. He let his
emotions take over and threw the book at his teacher Mr.p. after a couple of
days that this event took place mr. p gave junior a talk. A talk for HOPE, he
told him he was much smarter and could make a difference this was a big impact
in junior’s life. It really changed the way he thought. He started to think
about his future and what was coming next afterward. Which afterward he made a
really big transition he transferred schools.
When transferring school Arnold was terrified,
he knew ahead of him were many rich racists. His thoughts came true but, only because
it is what he believed, and wanted to believe, but as the days went on he saw
not everything was true. He began to like it and began to adapt to the environment
around him. But he really missed his root at same time. He see the difference in
the two communities and change and make two junior him in reservation and Arnold
him in his new school. I want to continue reading and see what happens next.
